BAD go BAD in Combat

On the 4th of July the coaches, Phil and Leigh were joined by 28 members of the club to go into battle at a local laser combat adventure. The group was split into two teams and were lucky enough to take part in 8 attacks during the 3 hours they were there. The blue team were the victors but the red didn’t go down without a good fight. Great fun was had by all, a number were fairly tired at the end of it and realised that they may not be as fit as they would like to think or at least when it comes to a sport without water. A number of swimmers are keen to make this an annual event, let us know if you do, the coaches certainly are. Phil and Leigh would like to thank the parents for allowing their swimmers to support this team event, it was great to see swimmers from all the squads to take part in this and get on well with each other, they didn’t even get wet! The organisers on site were brilliant and made sure the group had the most opportunities of battle.

Open meet results

Thank you to all the clubs who supported our End of Season Level 3 Meet on the 10th July. All the swimmers taking part swam some really great races and the general feeling around seemed that many swimmers had achieved personal bests. Thank you to all the officials who spent the day in the heat, without you the meet would not be able to go ahead. We hope to see you all again next year.

Chiltern League 19th June 2010 CHAMPIONS

Congratulations to all our swimmers who have taken part throughout the three rounds of the Chiltern League, these gala’s ended with a victory for Bletchley at Abingdon on Saturday. 24 personal best swims were seen and great team spirit.

It was very exciting during the evening as after leading the first half of the gala it was announced that Kidlington were drawing equal first with us, Phil soon put word out to make sure we finished each race in front of the yellow hats, credit to all the swimmers taking part in the relays, an extra push was given and the final score reflected when we became Gala winners. This is the first gala for a very long time that Bletchley took that first place spot so everyone should be  really proud of this achievement. Thanks to all the parents who supported the swimmers during the evening.

Meet the Coaches

This Monday in the Cafe area at Bletchley leisure centre both Phil and Leigh will be available to answer questions about your swimmers training and competitions.

There will be some handouts available, and every effort will be made to answer your questions, if the answers are not known then they will find out for you.
