Bletchley & District Swim Club L3 End of Season Open Meet

Top Girl saw a close fought contest between Georgina Stewart from Newport Pagnell Swimming Club and last years winner Laura Sherwood form the City of Oxford Swimming Club. Georgina triumphed and won Top Girl with a score of 63 points with Laura picking up second with 61 points and Marie Patrick from Newport Pagnell Swimming Club was third with 53 points.

Not to be out done the Top Boy proved to be and even closer contest between Max Williamson from City of Oxford Swimming Club and George Madges from Newport Pagnell Swimming Club. After Event 18 George had a 6 point lead over Max, but going into the last event the lead changed and Max had a 1 point lead over second placed Daniel Richards from City of Oxford Swimming Club and George had slipped to third. The last event proved critical in deciding top boy award with Max gaining 7 points, George gaining 8 points and with Daniel Richards failing to score points. Max Williamson just managed to hold on to Top Boy position and won with 63 points, George Madges came in a close Second with 62 points and Daniel Richards claimed third with 55 points.

Bletchley & District Swimmers produced some excellent performances with 91 swimmers improving on their own personal best records, as well as 15 Club records being broken as well. Bletchley swimmers had an impressive medal count consisting of 32 gold’s, 20 silvers, 23 Bronzes and 14 swims picking up speeding tickets, a fantastic achievement, well done to all.

Top Bletchley & District Boy went to Andy Wadsworth (Aged 14 years) who was placed 4th with 50 points and Top Bletchley Girl was Rebecca Allen (aged 14 years) who was placed 5th with 50 points as well.

Our special thanks goes to all the Officials, Helpers, Coaches and Aqua Vale Leisure Centre without their support we would have not been able to host this event.

Well done to all the swimmers and we look forward to welcoming all the swimmers back in 2008, we know it’s a long way off but the provisional date for next year is the 12th July.

Top Girl went to Laura Sherwood from City of Oxford Swim Club with 59 points and Top Boy went to Kris Hunt from City of Milton Keynes Club with 58 points.

Bletchley & District Swimmers produced some excellent performances with many swimmers breaking their own personal best records by a few seconds.  A number of our swimmers gained gold, silver and bronze medals with several receiving Speeding Tickets.

Top Bletchley & District Boy Courtney Dos Santos (Aged 11 years) was placed 3rd and Top Bletchley Girl Nicole Bass (aged 13 years) was placed equal 8th.

Another great achievement was the raising of over Two Hundred Pounds for Sports Relief.
