Bletchley & District Swim Club

All About Us

Established in 1958 we are one of the oldest swimming clubs in the Milton Keynes area.  Originally formed when an open air swimming pool was built to commemorate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth ll in Bletchley town.  The pool was known as 'Queen's Pool' and was opened on 7th June 1958.  This remained our home until its closure in 1974, when we moved to Leon School & Sports College Pool where we still train today.

All our committee members, teaches and coaches give their time on a voluntary basis. All teachers and coaches are ASA qualified and these qualifications are updated on a regular basis through CPD, as are those of our lifesavers and first aid officers.

All the Coaches/Teaches are Police checked and have attended Child Protection seminars. We take the care of our young people very seriously and provide a safe environment as set out in the ASA Child Protection Guidelines. We require anyone wishing to take photos or video recordings of the swimmers to gain permission from the Secretary after providing proper proof of identity.
