Bletchley Swimmers see successes at Leighton Buzzard “C” Grade Open Meet

On Saturday the 2nd of May 2009 Bletchley & District Swim club sent 16 swimmers to Stantonbury to compete in Leighton Buzzard’ s “C” grade open meet.
All who competed swam very well and out of 49 races there were 39 personal bests which everyone achieved at least 1. This was fantastic considering that this was the first open meet for a lot of the swimmers.
There were 18 top 6 finishes which included 1 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals on top of that 9 people swam too fast in their age groups.

Bletchley Swimmers Excel at Regional and National Level

For the second consecutive year two swimmers qualified for Regional Championships and for the first time in many years one swimmer qualified for the British Masters Championships. For such a small club this is an incredible achievement and it is a credit to the dedication of these swimmers who act as an inspiration to the rest of the club swimmers.
